Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Iryna Mudra announced the opening of five new categories in the international Register of Damage caused by the war against Ukraine.
Businesses, state and municipal enterprises, government authorities, and communities can now submit claims related to destroyed property, lost assets, lost profits, and recovery costs, both incurred and planned.
Applications can be submitted through the government platform Diia. The system is designed not only to record damages but also to create a legally recognized evidence base for future compensation.
A key component of the system is the Register of Damage for Ukraine (RD4U), which has already received around 150,000 claims. The initiative also предусматриває the establishment of an International Compensation Commission and a dedicated compensation fund.
According to Iryna Mudra, this mechanism is the result of long-term efforts by Ukrainian legal experts, diplomats, and international partners.
Ukraine continues to develop instruments for restoring justice, based on the principle that the aggressor must be held accountable.
