Museum of Lemko and Boyko Heritage Opened in Ripne

On April 18, the Museum of Lemko and Boyko Heritage was officially opened in the village of Ripne, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The museum is a cultural space dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage of two unique ethnographic regions of Ukraine.

The museum was established on the initiative of Hanna Krysiuk, President of Business Woman Club and Head of the NGO “World Ukrainians”, in honor of Hanna Haradym and her contribution to preserving national culture.

The project was co-founded by Vira Chervak, and is operated by the NGO “World Ukrainians”. It was implemented with the support of the international Business Woman Club community and families who contributed to the creation of the museum.

Among the attendees were members of Business Woman Club, including Boryanka Semichevich, Ambassador of Montenegro to Ukraine; Oksana Bilozir, People’s Artist of Ukraine; Yuliia Slaiman, co-owner of the agricultural company “KHIMMINERAL UKRAINE”; Raisa Mykhailova, CEO of “Favor Ama”; and Olha Pavlenko, President of the Ukrainian Kickboxing Federation WAKO.

The event was also attended by community mentors, including Andrija Djuranovic, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Montenegro in Ukraine, and Oleksandr Tokarchuk, Vice President of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.

The opening brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, government authorities, local self-government, civil society, business, and international delegations.

A special part of the event was the planting of the “Apple Garden of Memory and Dreams” as part of the global initiative Greening of the Planet. The trees were planted in honor of fallen Ukrainian defenders, missing persons, prisoners of war, and prominent figures.

As part of the opening, a national record was set with the preparation of 10,000 Lemko dumplings, which were served to guests during the IV gastronomic festival “Paliushky Fest for the Ukrainian Family”.

The event concluded with a musical performance by Oksana Bilozir, People’s Artist of Ukraine and member of Business Woman Club, adding a special emotional atmosphere and highlighting the connection between generations.
